Funded: Badly Injured Chica Needs Surgery to Relieve Pain and Walk Again

Update: Thanks to your generous donations, Chica underwent surgery to amputate her injured leg and is doing well in recovery. Once she has fully recovered, she will get to go home to her new family who fell in love with her after her injury.

Chica was taken in as a stray by animal control. This sweet, playful girl had her whole future ahead of her—until a heartbreaking incident left her badly injured. Another dog grabbed her foot, causing severe damage to her leg. 

Despite initial treatment, the injury is too great, and Chica faces the sad necessity of a leg amputation. However, with amputation and proper care, she’ll be able to adapt and thrive on three legs.

Chica’s journey to healing is just beginning and she needs surgery to get her back on her feet.
